Our second pair of Star Wars brothers Han and Luke have been with us at least a year. Came here as little strays, they were hand reared in a loving foster home.
They are curious especially about new things, love toys and will do anything for a treat. Always eager for food. Both enjoy zooming around and would most likely enjoy agility.
Han and Luke would do better in a home with older children or a rabbit savvy home. They are very active, happy interactive rabbits, very neat and tidy. They would be an entertaining addition to any home. If you would like to meet Han and Luke, please apply today.
This handsome male lionhead needs a rabbit experience home that understands rabbit behaviors. Frosty would do best in a home with teens/adults. No younger kids as he is a boxer.
He is very playful and loves chewing on cardboard boxes. He will need a large bunny proof area as he has lots of energy to burn. Frosty is looking for his perfect home and the right person to build trust with. Frosty has a very sweet side and will flop next to you for pets on his terms. He is also very food motivated. Litter box skills are great and he gets along well with respectful cat’s & a dog. He is a medium-large sized rabbit.
If you’re interested in meeting Frosty, please do your research and fill in an adoption application at vrra.org.
Socks and Cream are around 4-5 years old and currently live with a very loving foster family who treats the pair like their own children. Mr. Socks and Mrs. Cream free roam and are well behaved, joyful fur balls. They like living in a large space with multiple hidey houses and tunnels. In the evenings, they show their happiness by performing many binkies and zoomies while peaking in and out of hidey holes like it is groundhog day!
Both are amazing hay eaters and enjoy their daily greens and treats immensely, but of course they have their own favourites so their foster family is always kept on their toes, making sure that they can satisfy their individual snacking needs. They are not very chewy buns and occasionally enjoy chewing on cardboard and willow branches in their spare time.
After a few months of building trust with the buns, the foster family discovered that Mr. Socks absolutely LOVES butt rubs! Between the pair, Socks is the more affectionate bun and will run to their trusted human’s laps for comfort when spooked (normally by Princess Cream). Princess Cream is an independent, very tidy and bold girl. She will allow petting on her own terms but when she sees Socks getting all of the attention, Cream will try to steal your attention by climbing on you, making dramatic bunny flops and hopping on the bed to do zoomies. She is a very happy bunny who loves being around her humans but needs personal space.
Like most buns, Socks and Cream do not like being picked up and they will give you the hilarious “criminal offensive side-eye” when you take out the nail clippers and brush for grooming.
Both are litter trained. Cream is perfectly clean, and Socks is doing his best, while occasionally leaving a few coco puffs in his favourite spots. The buns will do well with having multiple large litter boxes spread around their area of roaming.
Socks and Cream are eager to find their forever family who will love them as much as their fosters do!
If you are interested in adopting Socks and Cream, please apply today!
Ali can be a bit shy at first and she’s protective over her space (watch out broom, she’ll try to eat it!) but if you sit with her on her level and let her come to you, she really opens up and loves to be pet! That’s after she claims you by chinning you first!
The way to Ali’s heart is through treats. She knows the sound of a treat bag or a fruit peeling. She loves cilantro and mint. This beautiful black girl is full of personality. She came in as stray young baby on Aug 6, 2022, around 5 days old found in a baseball diamond covered in sand with her siblings, Ducky/Tippy & Little Foot and Petrie. This litter of babies was name after The Land Before Time Characters. If you’re interested in meeting Ali please apply today.
She can go to a home with: Rabbits: Well-matched Dogs: Well-matched/respectful Cats: Yes Young kids: No Thank you Teens/Adults: Yes
Lennon and Minerva are the cutest sibling duo, both are almost 1 year old (born May 4th 2022). They are shy, but gentle with humans and warm up to people with time. Lennon is the daring sibling, while Minerva (right white paw) is the more cautious sibling. They don’t enjoy being petted unless they are familiar with you. They love a good chew toy, specifically pieces of cardboard or apple wood stick. They also love their salads and like to play tug-a-war with each other over pieces of lettuce.
The sweetest moments shared are post-meals, when in a dreamy food-coma state, they like to sploot beside each other and snuggle. They have so much love between them, in fact, they like lick and groom their rabbit stuffy as well! Lennon and Minerva are very clean and well litter-trained. There is never a dull moment with these two cuties! If you would like to give them a loving home, please apply today!
Meet Charlotte, Emily and Branwell. We call them the Brontë Family! They are siblings though each one is very different. They were born about Dec 15th, 2022 in a Richmond Park, where they were picked up about 4 weeks old.
Emily is white with blue eyes, Charlotte is a grey and white Dutch and Branwell is a male brown agouti. He is the shyest and lets his sisters take the lead. They are a fun bunch – active and playful – but need time to know their place and people. At first Charlotte, Emily and Branwell will be shy. We hope someone can offer them a loving home where they can all stay together. If that someone is you, please apply today!
This lovely pair is a brother and sister born May 4, 2022. Their mom was a beautiful grey otter like Suzie Poo and Dustin is a harlequin with a distinct pattern on his face.
These bunnies are very good with their litter. They are active and curious but tend to be shy until they know their people and space. They will do well in a home that lets them adjust to new surroundings. If you can give them that home, please apply today!
If you have seen the movie, you’ll understand why we called our little grey furball Peter. He is the most adventurous of the pair, very curious and always searching for new places to explore!
Teena is our sleek black beauty, and although she is the alpha in the couple, she is a lot shyer around people and needs more time to get used to new settings.
We found Peter abandoned in our neighborhood in 2019 around Halloween! He was very young and instantly got used to us, our children and our cats… He actually loves climbing on the cat tree! After a few months we decided to adopt Teena from VRRA, and despite both having a strong personality, they became the most loving couple ever, always on the lookout for each other and very protective of one another.
Peter & Teena have been living together for over 2 years, in a free-roaming habitat in our basement, with lots of toys, tunnels and chewing-friendly things. They really enjoy going outside, away from the dog though!
They love kale, parsley, all kind of healthy bunny food, and most of all their little cranberry or banana feast.
Like most rabbits, they don’t like to be picked up, however they cherish affection and being patted, especially on the head. They will, in return, treat you with purring and soon enough a nose kiss!
If you would like to adopt Peter & Teena, please apply today!
Sky and Ringo are a lovely brother and sister, born on May 4th.
These two well behaved buns are tidy, 100% litter trained, and love their hay and veggies. Ringo multicoloured) is more adventurous and curious than Sky (grey with white tummy), while Sky is more comfortable being brushed or petted than Ringo. Both provide something different and make for constant cuteness and entertainment. Added bonus: They don’t shed very much, making them very low maintenance.
Smokey is one lucky bunny. He was reported to be abandoned on Cambie street near the Langara Golf Course. He was picked up and brought to us on the day when it started snowing and getting very cold. Smokey would not have done well in the freezing icy weather. He is a calm, friendly bunny who ran right up to our rabbit catcher. He’s very attractive with his rose grey coat.
Smokey’s foster family says: “Smokey is great! We enjoy having him. No concerns. He loves zooming up and down the stairs and is currently obsessed with the Christmas tree, of course.”
Smokey likes to be petted. He’s clean and well behaved – a great little house bunny. If you are interested in adopting Smokey, please fill in our adoption application form here.
