Nala came into the local shelter as a stray and has now joined the VRRA family.
She is approximately three years old, and is shy so would need a quiet home who will understand her. She is extremely clean, please see what her foster mom has to say about her:
Introducing my foster bunny Nala!
This pretty little lady is a nervous one, and required a quiet home urgently. She is not good with change and needed a safe space to let her true personality show.
She’s taking her time to settle in, but is getting more and more curious about me and the goodies I bring her. She is feeling comfortable enough to lay with feet stretched out. In a short time she is already coming out of her shell.
If you can give this serene little lady a forever home (maybe she would like a rabbit friend to cosy up to), please apply today!
Maxwell was rescued April 29, 2024 after being reported in Surrey hoping around a neighborhood with an injured leg. Found hiding under a Japanese maple tree. This young black rabbit is very lucky he was reported and rescued he was badly injured with a broken twisted back leg. He was under weight, with a bad infection in his broken leg with an open wound. Amazing Medical team at Eagle Ridge Animal & bird hospital did an exam/amputation/neuter & his RHD vaccine. Maxwell has recovered well after all his amputation and treatment.
Maxwell is now looking for his furever home! Could that be with you? Maxwell is shy and cautious still learning to trust people. He would do best in a quite adult home. Bunny experienced home would be great. Maxwell might do good in a bonding with the right female match. He is good with his litter habit but not perfect, he is still learning. Maxwell loves hidey boxes, tents and tunnels. He enjoys stacking cups and chew toys. He is a great hay eater and loves his nightly greens.
If you’re interest in meeting Maxwell please apply today.
Nathan has bonded with two beautiful sister buns Priscilla & Penelope. Nathan is white with unique grey markings. Priscilla & Penelope are solid grey with the softest fur. They are used to other respectful house pets (cats/dogs). Estimated date of births for this trio is 2020. These bunnies would love a bunny room of their own or a free roam home.
Nathan is a bit of an escape artist & very good at jumping. The girls are very calm. Most of the time you’ll find them lounging together or cuddling Nathan. They enjoy being around people and head pets. Favorite toys are stacking cups, cardboard boxes & willow chews. These foodies are motived by treats and their favorite greens, romaine, cilantro, parsley.
If you interested in meeting this wonderful trio, please apply today.
Wednesday (medium black Female) and Bugaboo (brown ) both came in as tiny babies in November of 2022. They were handreared by one of our foster families but have never had anything but a shelter life since.
Both are devoted to each other, Wednesday is quite shy and Bugaboo a little more outgoing. They are spotlessly clean, love to race around in a large space and will do anything for a treat. Neither are picky eaters or aggressive but they get overlooked because of their colour and shyness. We feel sure given the chance they would blossom in the right home.
Please when looking to adopt a bunny or two, do not overlook the shy ones. These two are beautiful well behaved girls who deserve a calm, quiet loving home. If you would like to adopt them, please apply today!
Apollo is approximately 2 – 3 years old. He’s a dwarf cross with a little bit of lionhead in him. He’s impeccably clean and litterbox trained but he will need a rabbit savvy home who doesn’t mind a sassy opinionated little man.
He does growl and can be food protective but loves to be active and is playful and curious. In the right home with lots of space, he will blossom. He definitely needs to get out of the shelter and into a loving, patient home. No children please; he doesn’t seem to mind other bunnies.
He’s Mr. Personality and for all his grouchiness we love him and are hoping for the right home for him. He knows how to relax and is getting better each day. If you would like to adopt Apollo, please apply today!
This is a very cute small-med sized bonded pair. Theodore was found in Richmond with frostbite. Gem is one of Ruth’s babies come in 2-3 days old found on a construction site getting ready to pour cement. Gem DOB Oct 25, 2021 has a white dot on her nose and white foot. Theodore DOB Nov 1, 2021 is the white nose/mouth, white marking on forehead and white around his neck.
They are cautious, curious and can be playful. Theodore gives kisses, however you will need to earn his trust to get kisses. Theodore loves having a dig box. They both enjoy playing in boxes, tunnels and things to hide in.
If Theodore had a trade, it would be in demolition or construction. He spends his time remodeling boxes, tunnels and hidey houses, so probably more demolition! CEO of Bun-Struction, with his office manager Gem.
A rabbit experienced home with no other rabbits in the home would be preferable. However, they have okay with a respectful cat and dog in past foster homes. If interested in this wonderful pair, please apply today.
She would love a home with lots of space to do her zoomies and binkies. She might even be a great agility bunny. She is full of personality & came in as stray young baby on Aug 6, 2022. She was around 5 days old when found in a baseball diamond covered in sand with her siblings.
Ducky enjoys loop treats and rose petals. She is spayed and vaccinated and ready to be adopted! Ideally, she would do best in a rabbit-experienced adult-only home.
Our second pair of Star Wars brothers Han and Luke have been with us at least a year. Came here as little strays, they were hand reared in a loving foster home.
They are curious especially about new things, love toys and will do anything for a treat. Always eager for food. Both enjoy zooming around and would most likely enjoy agility.
Han and Luke would do better in a home with older children or a rabbit savvy home. They are very active, happy interactive rabbits, very neat and tidy. They would be an entertaining addition to any home. If you would like to meet Han and Luke, please apply today.
Darcy and Jetta are a bonded pair of 1.5 year old sisters. They are almost identical in looks but very different in personality.
Jetta is an adventurous bunny once she is comfortable, she loves getting her outside time on the grass or running around the house she has a lot of zoom zooms. She loves treats of kale and apples but doesn’t care for our small dog and robot vacuums. She has one ear that is lopped but that adds to her cuteness. She is working on her litter training and is quite obsessed with her cat scratching hiding space so this will come with them to their new home.
Darcy is a couch potato bunny with excellent litter box skills. She likes to sit on the sofa or bean bag and is content to chill for hours with her kid and little dog buddy. She tolerates being held but would prefer to just sit beside a person/dog and cuddle.
They just had a vet visit and are in excellent health, well socialized and can’t wait to meet their new forever family. If you would like to meet Darcy and Jetta, please apply today.
This handsome male lionhead needs a rabbit experience home that understands rabbit behaviors. Frosty would do best in a home with teens/adults. No younger kids as he is a boxer.
He is very playful and loves chewing on cardboard boxes. He will need a large bunny proof area as he has lots of energy to burn. Frosty is looking for his perfect home and the right person to build trust with. Frosty has a very sweet side and will flop next to you for pets on his terms. He is also very food motivated. Litter box skills are great and he gets along well with respectful cat’s & a dog. He is a medium-large sized rabbit.
If you’re interested in meeting Frosty, please do your research and fill in an adoption application at vrra.org.
