Meet Sparkles! This pretty little girl came to us as a stray baby from New Westminster. She’s approximately six months old, very sweet, if a little shy until she gets to know you. Extremely tidy, big hay eater and veggies. Sparkles is active and curious and anyone will be lucky to have her as part of their family. If you would like to adopt her, please apply today!    Sweet little Gaia came to VRRA with her siblings and mom at the tender age of about 9 days old. Her mom had given birth in a parking lot and literally the whole community were involved in the rescue. Estimated date of birth 10th June 2025, she has only known a shelter life for most of her short life and would love a quieter home where she could blossom. She’s an active, curious little rabbit who enjoys a variety of greens and never turns down a treat. She enjoys head pets, playing with toys and doing zoomies. And would most likely enjoy the company of another boy rabbit. If you’re the one that can provide this gorgeous girl a home, please do your research and apply today!   Mini is a young harlequin, born June 8, 2025 rescued with her siblings at nine days old. Luckily our rescue team were able to catch her mom Betty Boop and reunite the little family. Mini is the exact image of her mom, she’s the smallest of the sisters. She can be a little shy at first, but curious and active. She’s a good hay eater and more of a grazer. With her personality right now, she’d be better in a quieter home. Would possibly like another rabbit as she had been with her siblings. She does also like playing with her toys! If you can give Mini a home, please apply today!    Jewel was originally Julian. A young boy bought her from a pet store and took her home as a baby. Never checked her for her gender, and there she lived for two years. When I was asked to rescue her, she was living in an empty room downstairs in a house with very little daily socialization, and no windows she could see out of. She had never had her nails cut or hair brushed, so when we witnessed her get to groom herself with her cut hind nails, it was a beautiful sight. And what a beauty she turned out to be after a bit of brushing! Jewel is a Rex and soft as a stuffy. She is curious, playful, and would ultimately love a home where she could have a large area to roam. She loves going outside during the day, in our secure play areas, but she is FAST! She had never felt the grass on her paws before we rescued her, so she loves it so much we often need to two of us to get her back inside. She loves all greens, as she had never had them before, and her favourite treat is banana. She loves being pet, and being up high (like on a couch.) Jewel would do best in a home with free roam abilities, and a large pen she could go in when unsupervised (she’s mischievous! Like most buns!) She likes cats and has no problem with our dog. Jewel is most active in the mornings, so someone who works from home would likely enjoy her company immensely. If you would like to adopt her, please apply today!  Debby was found near Locarno beach. Her coat was very rough and she was thin. She had a few small wounds probably from rabbit bites. She had one front tooth visible poking out of her mouth. A volunteer caught her and brought her in. She had vet treatment, has been spayed and vaccinated. Debby is a very sweet girl and her dental issues have resolved and now appears fine. Her front tooth must have been knocked out of place and has corrected itself. She is an adult rabbit. Her foster family says: Debby is a sweet, curious and food OBSESSED rabbit, but so gentle with fingers. She loves her pets and is getting used to exploring new things. Debby uses her litter box perfectly and is not a chewer at all. She has been exposed to cats, respectful children ages 4 and 8 and does very well with them. She really is a perfect all around bunny who would make a lovely addition to a home. If you would like to adopt her, please apply today!      On June 20 it was extremely rainy and Pinky was found hiding underneath the back stairs of a home in Kitsilano. The kind rescuers were able to gently guide Pinky into their home for her safety. Once inside, the rescuers contacted the City shelter to ask if they would take in the rabbit as they were unable to keep her long term. They were then directed to VRRA who were able to help with Pinky’s care! The rescuers fostered Pinky through VRRA for 2 months and got to know her very well. She was only about 4 or 5 months old when rescued and is a lively, friendly young bunny! She loves her fresh carrots and greens for treats. She ALWAYS uses her litter box and enjoys helping to top it up with fresh hay. Pinky is curious and adventurous, and she will try to chew on cords/wires if they are in reach. She can jump out of a 3 feet pen, so is best to be supervised in a taller pen or contained in a crate with a top when alone. She loooves to be pet but is not very fond of being picked up for long periods of time. She will keep you forever entertained with her countless bunny zoomies! Pinky is spayed and ready for adoption – if you would like to give her a new home, please apply today!       Madison is a slim and attractive little rabbit who resembles a wild cottontail. She was an abandoned rabbit on Madison Avenue in Burnaby. She had been living wild for a few months and the condo building manager was becoming annoyed that she was eating their plants. Volunteers picked her up after a bit of a chase! Madison has shown herself to be a friendly but bit timid girl. She is very good with her litter box and not a chewy rabbit. Madison will be a good companion bunny and house pet. She may like to have a bunny friend. If you are interested in adopting Madison please apply soon!      After being found on Main Street, dumped, scared and alone, at just a few months old, little Tiger Lily was caught and brought to the VRRA by a kind person. She was named for her beautiful “tiger stripes” that make her quite a unique and gorgeous little harlequin bunny! Whether you’re looking for entertaining binkies or lots of sweet snuggle time, Tiger Lily could be the perfect bunny for you! She loves to play, run and explore, but will happily flop down next to you for a nice, long rest or cuddle up with you while you’re reading or watching TV. Though she takes a minute to warm up to new people, and doesn’t love to be picked up, she absolutely thrives on attention and loves to be pet. She will even groom you to say thank you! She is 95% good with chewing only what she is allowed to, and as long as you give her lots of enrichment activities and bunny-safe sticks, she is happy to chew on those. Your cords will need to be blocked off or protected, as they are the most tempting. Tiger Lily has excellent litterbox skills, but doesn’t always appreciate having her area tidied while she is in it. She has a love-hate relationship with the broom and will usually try to persuade you to stop sweeping. For this reason, a home with some bunny knowledge and no young kids would be best. This little lady is ready to be your best friend for life! She is currently content staying in a 36 inch high x-pen while her foster family is at work, and is also respectful of the 30 inch baby gate in the doorway of the room she hangs out in. Snap is a beautiful white and gold rabbit with Dutch markings. She’s a strong girl and would do well in a rabbit savvy home or with someone who wants to introduce her into rabbit agility. She’s an elegant rabbit. Snap is clean, curious and active. She can be quite vocal, hopefully hormones dying down. As she is young she is quite a busy bee. She found herself in a local shelter where she gave birth to a litter of babies. A shelter was no place for a mama rabbit and her babies, so she was welcomed into the Vancouver rabbit rescue family. Not only did she raise her own but was surrogate mom to another baby. Maisey has completed her maternal duties and is now looking for a forever home of her own. She’s a shy, quiet, gentle rabbit and would prefer a home that matches her personality. Children may be overwhelming for her, but she probably would like a rabbit friend. She was in a foster home with cats, a dog and other rabbits. We are estimating her to be between one and two years old. She’s clean, has her favourite toys and will gently take a treat from you.
