Garrott is a very lucky boy. A good samaritan took him to the Cottonwood Clinic in Maple Ridge when they found him outside. HIs foot was bleeding and seemed twisted. The clinic called us because they do not see rabbits so we took him in. His leg was bent inwards but did not seem injured but his toes on that foot were bleeding. Garrot had one joint missing on one toe and the other toes were missing nails and all bleeding and sore. The veterinarian cleaned up his foot and bandaged it. We gave him pain medication and waited to see how it healed. After only a few weeks and a few bandage changes his foot had healed. He uses the foot and it has lost most of the twist now. We have no idea how this could have happened.
Garrot is very friendly and loves to be petted. He is litter trained and in good health. There should be no more problems with his foot. As his nails were lost he may need some help cleaning his left ear. Garrot got his name from a combination of “Gary” and “Carrot”. Some lucky person will get a marvellous pet!
If you can give Garrot a home, please apply today!
You don’t have to wonder if this charming boy loves you: with the little notch in his ear, he is always is showing you his heart.
Everett was found looking for a place to stay near the Best Western in Abbotsford, and was an easy capture. His healed ear and smaller wounds show he may have been on his own for a few months, but it didn’t change his outgoing personality. This is one rabbit that is always happy to see you!
Everett is curious and easygoing, and seems to be unfazed by calm dogs and children. He keeps his cage in great shape. With his mild mannered personality, he might be open to a friend in the future.
Everett is a great rabbit to start your journey. Make somebunny’s dream come true, and give him a home of his own. If you would like to adopt Everett, please apply today!
Marcus is most likely a Netherland dwarf or Polish breed as he is small. He keeps his white coat meticulously clean and he has beautiful baby blue eyes. He is an adult. All Marcus seems to want is love and attention – perhaps it’s something he was missing in his former life.
He’s easy to handle, excellent with his litterbox skills, and is an active rabbit. He’s going to make a perfect family member, and I’m sure his greatest wish is to have a home of his own.
Favourite foods: Carrot tops, Italian parsley and romaine lettuce. He’s not a big pellet eater. Favourite toys: Hard plastic ball he can throw, and stacking cups. Loves to play in the garden.
As he’s so small, would probably do better in a home with no small children. But otherwise he will be a good fit with any family. If you would like to give Marcus a home, please apply today!

Apollo is approximately 2 – 3 years old. He’s a dwarf cross with a little bit of lionhead in him. He’s impeccably clean and litterbox trained but he will need a rabbit savvy home who doesn’t mind a sassy opinionated little man.
He does growl and can be food protective but loves to be active and is playful and curious. In the right home with lots of space, he will blossom. He definitely needs to get out of the shelter and into a loving, patient home. No children please; he doesn’t seem to mind other bunnies.
He’s Mr. Personality and for all his grouchiness we love him and are hoping for the right home for him. He knows how to relax and is getting better each day. If you would like to adopt Apollo, please apply today!
Arby was found abandoned sitting outside the Arbutus West Vet clinic. A kind-hearted schoolboy saw him and took him home.
He is a large rabbit (7lb) with an equally large personality – he loves attention and pets from his human, and loves to zoom around on the carpet and toss his favourite toys around. He is excellent with his litter box but does like to chew things, especially cardboard and his towel.
Despite his friendliness, Arby is not an ideal “first rabbit” candidate due to his enthusiasm for attention – he is so happy to see you that he will lunge and grunt at your feet or pull at your pant legs which can be intimating until you get to know him. He is also territorial when he gets his pellets – will grunt at you if you get too close! Over-enthusiasm aside, he loves to hang out with someone and will come right up beside you and flop over on his side for pets.
His foster mother has noticed that he really enjoys being talked to and will often perform little hops and binkies in response. Arby would thrive in a home where he gets to spend lots of time with his person/family. As he is a large rabbit, he does not like hardwood floors – he requires carpeting or some other surface with traction. His current house has 2 cats and he has not been bothered by their presence. He will make someone a wonderful companion! Scroll down to see a video of Arby bounding up and down the stairs.
If you’d like to meet Arby, apply to adopt him today!
This handsome male lionhead needs a rabbit experience home that understands rabbit behaviors. Frosty would do best in a home with teens/adults. No younger kids as he is a boxer.
He is very playful and loves chewing on cardboard boxes. He will need a large bunny proof area as he has lots of energy to burn. Frosty is looking for his perfect home and the right person to build trust with. Frosty has a very sweet side and will flop next to you for pets on his terms. He is also very food motivated. Litter box skills are great and he gets along well with respectful cat’s & a dog. He is a medium-large sized rabbit.
If you’re interested in meeting Frosty, please do your research and fill in an adoption application at vrra.org.
Scout is brother to Dustin, Suzie, Ringo, Sky, Lennon and Minerva. He is the only one that is grey. He is an interesting mix of very bold and also shy.
Scout’s current foster family has this to say: Scout is a very sweet but timid guy. He’s curious, just needs a really patient environment so he can explore and gain confidence. The first week he hardly came out of his den but he’s showing his personality more and more. He will occasionally do a wonderful nice flop in his favorite corner, surrounded by his toys that he loves to throw around. He’s very good at getting his treats out of his stack cups or by rolling around the treat ball.
He has done some zoomies and binkies and sure we’ll see more and more of this over time–it’s a rare treat right now but he’s definitely got it in him! He’s gotten some supervised outdoor time and he loves it–that’s by far the most we’ve seen him cut loose and race around! So a home with supervised yard time is definitely a plus.
He does love head strokes very much and he’s happy for us to pat him more than half the time now. He definitely likes his feet to stay on the ground but seems comfortable to have us nearby, lounging around with him. If he’s trying to be brave and explore, he will still run away at the slightest movement or noise. He loves his veggies and doesn’t seem to drink much water.
He’s 100% litterbox trained, not too much of a nibbler, and hasn’t ventured much beyond the area rug, so he’s pretty easy to have in the house. He is a great guy, just needs a home that’s calm and patient.
Smokey is one lucky bunny. He was reported to be abandoned on Cambie street near the Langara Golf Course. He was picked up and brought to us on the day when it started snowing and getting very cold. Smokey would not have done well in the freezing icy weather. He is a calm, friendly bunny who ran right up to our rabbit catcher. He’s very attractive with his rose grey coat.
Smokey’s foster family says: “Smokey is great! We enjoy having him. No concerns. He loves zooming up and down the stairs and is currently obsessed with the Christmas tree, of course.”
Smokey likes to be petted. He’s clean and well behaved – a great little house bunny. If you are interested in adopting Smokey, please fill in our adoption application form here.
