Maxwell was rescued April 29, 2024 after being reported in Surrey hoping around a neighborhood with an injured leg. Found hiding under a Japanese maple tree. This young black rabbit is very lucky he was reported and rescued he was badly injured with a broken twisted back leg. He was under weight, with a bad infection in his broken leg with an open wound. Amazing Medical team at Eagle Ridge Animal & bird hospital did an exam/amputation/neuter & his RHD vaccine. Maxwell has recovered well after all his amputation and treatment.
Maxwell is now looking for his furever home! Could that be with you? Maxwell is shy and cautious still learning to trust people. He would do best in a quite adult home. Bunny experienced home would be great. Maxwell might do good in a bonding with the right female match. He is good with his litter habit but not perfect, he is still learning. Maxwell loves hidey boxes, tents and tunnels. He enjoys stacking cups and chew toys. He is a great hay eater and loves his nightly greens.

Apollo is approximately 2 – 3 years old. He’s a dwarf cross with a little bit of lionhead in him. He’s impeccably clean and litterbox trained but he will need a rabbit savvy home who doesn’t mind a sassy opinionated little man.
He does growl and can be food protective but loves to be active and is playful and curious. In the right home with lots of space, he will blossom. He definitely needs to get out of the shelter and into a loving, patient home. No children please; he doesn’t seem to mind other bunnies.
He’s Mr. Personality and for all his grouchiness we love him and are hoping for the right home for him. He knows how to relax and is getting better each day. If you would like to adopt Apollo, please apply today!
Tevin is a dwarf Himalayan rabbit with a happy, friendly personality. He was found wandering around by himself near a busy road. He’s a perky little bunny, active and curious, probably under a year old.
Tevin is playful, energetic, and very intelligent! As a result, he needs lots of space and time to play. He is almost dog-like, and needs a lot of enrichment. He is good with dogs, and a very confident boy overall. Tevin is neutered and ready to be adopted.

Meet lovely little Joey. He was picked up as a baby rabbit downtown Vancouver outside the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. He had a ticket but they wouldn’t let him in!
Joey is the kind of guy who likes a good zip around then flops out in a pile of hay to snooze the afternoon away. He is clean and tidy and he loves to nibble on cardboard and apple sticks. He spent his early years in foster and he was a delightful gentleman. Hopefully he will win a place in your heart. He will probably excel in agility. It’s also fun whenever you come into the room and say “Hey Joey, how YOU doin?”
He has always been a friendly little bunny. Now he’s a nice shiny black rabbit ready for adoption. If you would like to adopt Joey, please apply today.
Meet Chip! This compact little guy came in as a stray to the local shelter. He sat there with no interest but then he joined the ranks of VRRA adorable adoptables.
Chip is between 1 and 2 years old, shy until he gets to know you. Once he does you’ll get a flop from him. He’s litter trained and clean. Loves his greens and looks forward to his daily cookie.
He’s at present in a foster home with dogs, other rabbits and two Guinea pigs. So he may like a rabbit friend.
Probably he would like a quieter home. Even though he’s used to a house with other animals.
Please do your research, fill in an adoption form and make this little guy happy!
Mostafa in a nutshell (according to his foster family):
2 words: Adorably affectionate!
He is a curious bun and would happily bink, “oink” in delight, or hop around you in circles when free roaming. Litter box trained and very good with keeping poop within his home base. Loves chewing on cardboard and the occasional towel (cloth materials beware!) so keep any backpacks clear of the floor when he’s free roaming. He loves to go find tunnels/ nooks and crannies to hide in (noticeably under beds or behind the sofa).
Occasionally, he’ll come check on what the human is doing, then flop next to them to keep them company. If the human ignores him for too long, he will lick the human’s leg to remind them to give him bunny scratches behind the ear.
Truly, a darling. If you are interested in adopting Mostafa, please apply today! Scroll down to see a video of Mostafa in action…
Hans is probably a Jersey Wooly crossed with a Dutch rabbit. He has Dutch colouring and a Jersey Wooly coat. Hans was taken from Jericho Park. Rabbits with a long, easily tangled coat like his have virtually no chance of surviving outside. HIs coat was matted right down to the skin and had to be shaved off. He is very shy.
Hans will now come forward and eat but avoids being touched. He has to tolerate it regularly because his coat needs a lot of care. It’s important that he be regularly groomed and sometimes trimmed. Without this attention his coat will mat badly. Hans is a nice bunny and has come a long way but he will need someone special to care for him. If you are interested in adopting Hans, please apply today!
Richie is a very handsome rabbit with his striking black and orange coat. He’s marked like a bumble bee. Richie lived outdoors fending for himself for at least 4 years. His rescuer looked out for him and fed him everyday. Then she noticed that he was falling over and having trouble running in a straight line. Richie came to us. He has had medication and has improved but he is still wobbly and probably always will be. He will come for food and sometimes tolerates a pet or two but he is still very shy. Richie needs that special person who will be patient with him. He is not a difficult rabbit to keep but has some housing needs.
If you are interested in adopting Richie, please apply today!
Nolan is a Dutch cross that shows in his blue eyes and black coat with white markings. He is a sweet boy who has had bad luck. He likes to be petted and is a pleasant little bunny. He was dumped outside in the winter of 2019. We found him thin and in bad shape. He ran to the people who picked him up.
Nolan was adopted in 2020 and at that time he was in normal health. He was returned to us in May this year. During his adoption something happened to his spine and it has caused his left hind leg to become frozen. It looks worse than it is. Nolan moves around well and can get in his litter box just fine as long as the rim is not too high. Because he can’t use his left hind leg, his ear on that side needs to be cleaned regularly. Other than that he is a regular bunny. Nolan awaits his forever home with someone to love him.
Nolan’s current foster says: He pees only in his litter box but still poops a little outside of it! He is a friendly patient boy that likes to make my blankets on the bed and lets me pet him. He half-binkies when he gets his food and treats!
If you’d like to meet Nolan, apply to adopt today!
Arby was found abandoned sitting outside the Arbutus West Vet clinic. A kind-hearted schoolboy saw him and took him home.
He is a large rabbit (7lb) with an equally large personality – he loves attention and pets from his human, and loves to zoom around on the carpet and toss his favourite toys around. He is excellent with his litter box but does like to chew things, especially cardboard and his towel.
Despite his friendliness, Arby is not an ideal “first rabbit” candidate due to his enthusiasm for attention – he is so happy to see you that he will lunge and grunt at your feet or pull at your pant legs which can be intimating until you get to know him. He is also territorial when he gets his pellets – will grunt at you if you get too close! Over-enthusiasm aside, he loves to hang out with someone and will come right up beside you and flop over on his side for pets.
His foster mother has noticed that he really enjoys being talked to and will often perform little hops and binkies in response. Arby would thrive in a home where he gets to spend lots of time with his person/family. As he is a large rabbit, he does not like hardwood floors – he requires carpeting or some other surface with traction. His current house has 2 cats and he has not been bothered by their presence. He will make someone a wonderful companion! Scroll down to see a video of Arby bounding up and down the stairs.
