Your bunny could be a STAR!!!

Enter to have your own special rabbit(s) in our 2009 Calendar. The calendar will be a full colour, small format, desk calendar in a CD case similar to our 2008 calendar. See below.

Each month will illustrate a point from the House Rabbit Society "Did You Know" poster. See the topics below. First three months show a sample photo. Rules of entry are below the topics.

January - Rabbits make great house pets - photo of rabbit(s) around the house. Story of a house bunny and his antics.
February - Rabbits can be litterbox trained - photos of rabbit(s) in litter box, using, set-up etc. - Story about a bunny's litter training.
March - Rabbits can live with cats and dogs (or other pets) - Photos and a story of rabbits living with other animals.
April - Rabbits are better pets for adults than children - photos of rabbits with adults - story about rabbit belonging to a man? or rabbit that was a child’s pet and became parents pet?
May - Rabbits should live indoors - Photos of indoor rabbits. A story about a rabbit or rabbits who came in from outside.
June - Rabbits need more than rabbit pellets- Photos of rabbits eating and a story about a rabbit who benefited from a good diet change.
July - Most rabbits don't like to be picked up - Photos of rabbits sitting relaxed with people on the floor or beside them - a story of a rabbit who was dropped or a rabbit who asserted his demand to be put down.
August – Rabbits should be spayed/neutered - photos of rabbits in neat surroundings and a story that highlights the benefits of neuter/spay.
September- Rabbits live 10 years or more. Photos of older rabbits. Story of long-lived bunny
October – Rabbits need a stimulating environment and like to explore by chewing- Photos of good bun environments - rabbits chewing and a story about the benefits of an enriched environment.
November - Rabbits need to see specially trained vets - Photo of buns at the vet and a story of a rabbit saved by good rabbit vet.
December. – Rabbits should be adopted from a rescue group.... - photos of rabbits in shelters/cages - story of bunny adopted from shelter.

Rules:

Please, no set-up situations or props that are not normally in your rabbit's environment. We want photos of rabbits being themselves, not posed.

Tell us which month you think your rabbit photo belongs in. (We reserve the right to use it in a different month if we think it fits better.)

Keep stories short (100 words max). We reserve the right to edit for length and grammar.

All photos and stories to be the property of Vancouver Rabbit Rescue and Advocacy. Make sure your name and address (or at least the city you live in) are sent so you can be credited with the photo and story. Please only digital photos.

Send high-resolution photos to Glenn with "Calendar photos" in the subject line. Please, no more than 5 photos per rabbit.

The Slaves of chosen bunnies will receive a one-year VRRA membership and a calendar. Winning bunnies will receive a yummy seagrass mat to munch. Remember, the calendars make great gifts! We will appreciate your participation in buying/selling them. Calendar pricing to be decided.
